You wake up in the morning and exclaim, I’m Livin’ the ECE Dream!
You respect childhood and the people in it!
You see the sunny side.
Keep doing your thing and ask me to come document all the real life beauty you are a part of every day.
Early Childhood Photojournalism
I am looking for a limited number of small groups to photograph in a photojournalistic approach. The real stuff! The “That’s the kid” stuff. The good stuff. The stuff that gives you the feels, because it’s a reflection of who they are at this time in their life.
My focus as I grow as a photographer is to document all of the real life beauty that exists in early childhood settings. The moments that take our breath away as ECE's and as parents.
I will spend time getting to know the children I am photographing through frequent visits over the coming months. I will work collaboratively with your team of ECE's documenting childhood as an ECE and as an artist.
Frequent "EC Photojournalism" visits. The number of visits will be determined by the openness of the daycare to the project.
The use of EC Photojournalism images in your group. They are amazing for storytelling! Incredible for demonstrating that every child in your group belongs and shows their unique contribution and value.
An online gallery/child (or family).
Opportunity for families to purchase prints and/or digital images. (Delivery charges apply).
One authentic, enthusiastic ECE ambassador who respects childhood and children; follows the pace of their group; values every child equally while appreciating each child is unique. It helps if you LOVE photography!
And a few more staff who think the above looks fun and interesting!
Openness to ideas and feedback.
Your time to collaborate with me and communicate with staff and parents/guardians.
*The focus is on "the child", so group photos will not be taken.
*Staff photo bookings can be arranged upon request.
*Fall ECE Portrait Sessions are reserved for Centres who are committed to the "EC Photojournalism" project.
*I want to support inclusive spaces. If my photography can support a child, please contact me. An example might be a visual calendar.
